Commercial and industrial sites run long fence lines around yards, plant and stock, crossed all day by staff, contractors and vehicles. RBtec detects a real intrusion at the fence without alarming on the traffic that belongs there.
Scale and traffic. A yard, depot or plant can run kilometers of fence around stock, vehicles and equipment, and that fence is touched all day by staff, contractors, deliveries and machinery. A sensor sensitive enough to catch someone cutting through at two in the morning has to ignore a forklift, a gate, a delivery lorry and the wind for the other twenty-two hours. Get that balance wrong and the system is switched off within a month.
Usually metal, fuel, cable, tools and plant — things that move fast and are hard to trace once they leave the gate. The loss is rarely just the item. It is the hire cost of replacement plant, the crew standing idle, the insurance excess and the premium at renewal. A breach that takes ninety seconds can cost a week of schedule.
By filtering on the signal rather than turning the sensitivity down. The IRONCLAD fence alarm system applies three layers of filtering to separate cutting, climbing and lifting from vibration caused by wind, rain, traffic and normal site movement. Gates and loading bays are put in their own zones so routine use never sits inside a protected run. Sensitivity is set on site during commissioning against live tests, then recorded.
The perimeter becomes the first line rather than the last. A zoned alarm tells the monitoring station or the on-call manager which section was crossed, so a camera can be called to the right place immediately instead of someone scrubbing footage afterwards. On sites with no fence on one side — an open yard, a haul road, a compound edge — buried ground sensors cover the gap with nothing visible to avoid.
It starts with a walk of the boundary and an honest look at how the site actually operates — where vehicles move, which gates are used, what runs at night. That produces a zone plan sized to the response you can realistically give: enough zones that an alarm is actionable, not so many that the panel becomes noise. Installation is staged so the site keeps working, and alarms are delivered on dry-contact relays into the VMS, alarm panel or SCADA already in place. Tell us about your site.
