To ensure rapid deployment across vast distances, RaySense features Automated AI Calibration, which autonomously maps the specific soil conditions and background noise of the pipeline route. The Architecture Breakdown of RaySense for Pipelines

  • The RaySense system layout is engineered for extreme durability in remote environments, concentrating all intelligence into a single, rack-mounted Alarm Processing Unit (APU). By utilizing the fiber optic cable as the sensor, the system eliminates the need for any electricity or communication hardware along the pipeline route.

    • Centralized Processing: The APU is housed in a secure, climate-controlled station, monitoring up to 50km (31 miles) in two directions.

    • The Sensing Fiber: Standard single-mode fiber is buried near the pipeline, transforming every meter of the route into a virtual microphone.

    • Zero Field Infrastructure: The system is completely passive in the field, making it immune to lightning, EMI, and RFI, ideal for high-pressure gas or oil environments.

    • Virtual Zoning: The software allows operators to divide the pipeline into hundreds of virtual zones for precise localized alerts and integration with drone or camera systems.
